Pastor Corey Sanderson

Corey has served churches in the United Church of Christ for the last twenty-five years. He is passionate about adult faith formation, interfaith partnerships, and being a resource to the larger community. Corey has also taught college courses in philosophy, ethics, and religious studies and has worked in Medical Ethics. When not at work, you’re bound to find Corey planning his next trip to India and Sri Lanka, playing music, reading, and cooking.

While this is an anxious time for many churches, it is also an exciting and fruitful time to be part of Christ's Church. New, vibrant, and creative ways of doing ministry and serving others are emerging in response to recent cultural changes. Perhaps now more than ever, people are searching for a deeper connection with God, desiring to grow in faith, and needing to be part of something larger than themselves. This is a fertile time in which the ministry of the local church is needed more than ever.

As a dedicated early childhood professional, Susan believes children learn best through play and socializing with their peers. “Play” is essential and helps facilitate the development of a child’s cognitive, emotional, social and physical abilities. Susan also believes placing an emphasis on kindness within our nursery school family is essential and is convinced that if children learn the importance of being thoughtful at a young age it will stay with them into adulthood, resulting in a kinder world.
